So you see the reason for the error in limitations of my shell?

Yes, I found many posts regarding this. However, all of them had the stacksize 
set too small, mostly 8192k. I found that value on a debian system I just 
checked, for example. My shell (SuSE 8.2) however gives:
core file size        (blocks, -c) 0
data seg size         (kbytes, -d) unlimited
file size             (blocks, -f) unlimited
max locked memory     (kbytes, -l) unlimited
max memory size       (kbytes, -m) unlimited
open files                    (-n) 1024
pipe size          (512 bytes, -p) 8
stack size            (kbytes, -s) unlimited
cpu time             (seconds, -t) unlimited
max user processes            (-u) 3071
virtual memory        (kbytes, -v) unlimited

so the stacksize and the memory size are already set to "unlimited".
