Dear wien users:
I am running 2 linux PC's, one 2-CPU pentium with suse9.0, and one 2-CPU
Amd Opteron with fedora 64 bit (suse couldn't handle the hardware). I
installed wien2k (compiled version) on both seemingly without trouble. But...
1) The first problem showed up when running w2web under ssl, which worked
fine on the suse pentium (ssl = 1, and correct name.pem in w2web.conf).
However the same configuration does not work on the AMD Opteron ("point
browser to http://..."). Does anyone understand the problem, and can
suggest solutions?
2) Next, I tried the example files, i.e. Bi and CaB6. On neither machine
does init_lapw generate the name.inst file needed for x lstart; so I ran
manually instgen (which worked fine). Any idea what might be wrong?
3) Thereafter, it was smooth sailing under suse's linux PC. On the other
however, the first SCF cycle failed (no other problem showed up during the
initialization). The *error* files are empty, and this showed up in STDOUT:
LAPW0 END
GTFNAM - Exactly one commandline argument has to be given.
And this in the dayfile:
start (Tue Oct 19 13:48:10 EDT 2004) with lapw0 (20/20 to go) > lapw0
(13:48:10) 2.369u 0.023s 0:02.39 99.5% 0+0k 0+0io 0pf+0w > lapw1 (13:48:13)
0.000u 0.000s 0:00.00 0.0% 0+0k 0+0io 0pf+0w > stop error
I'd appreciate all suggestions you might have.
Holger
