For eg. L2,3 spectra the experimental spectrum consists often as a 
superposition of the L2 and L3 spectrum (i.e. transitions from the 2p-1/2 
and 2p-3/2 corestates respectively). split should be the SO-splitting of 
these corestates (see case.scfc) and int1/2 are their respective 
intensities (usually 1 and 2, unless you use it as fitting parameter to 
obtain better agreement with experiment).
