To expand on what Peter just sent:
1) Do you have:
in .bashrc the line "ulimit -s unlimited"
in .cshrc and/or .tcshrc the line "limit stacksize unlimited"
2) Does it crash when you do:
a) x lapw0
b) x lapw0 -p
c) lapw0 lapw0.def
Mode c) avoids any shell calls; mode a) and b) have them. If c) works and
a) and b) do not, try adding the line "limit stacksize unlimited" to the
top of lapw0para and x_lapw in your WIENROOT directory.
This may of course not help...
