Yes, of course.

I'll always add useful additions and for sure the present dosplot is 
very basic and not sophisticated at all.

PS: For publication quality it would be important to be able to select 
line thickness and types, label sizes (and labels),...

Otherwise non-gnuplot experts will always have to use an extra 
xy-plotting program.
