[Wien] runsp_lapw dies offline

Dear community,
I have a mixed Linux-Wien2k question -
don't remember it being answered (at least recently);
my apologies if I've overlooked the solution.

The problem:
a shell script containing runsp_lapw ,
or apparently the runsp_lapw itself,
when started in a terminal session on a remote machine,
lives only as long as the terminal session lives
(the last WIEN executable does of course continue
to its conclusion but the next one from the script crashes).
If the session stays on, everything proceeds fine.

- Why?
- How to avoid?

nohup ... &
does not help.

There must be something related to the contents
of run_lapw because other more straightforward scripts do execute
correctly in the off-sesion regime.

Thanks

Andrei Postnikov
