Department of Materials Science and Engineering, Yonsei University,
Seoul, Korea. Yonsei University, one of the oldest universities in South
Korea, is a private research university and is widely regarded as one of
the top three comprehensive universities in the country.
Our group's research focus is on ab initio investigations of materials
and surface science phenomena. First-principles electronic structure
calculations are used in conjunction with high performance computing to
explore the energetics, atomic, electronic, and magnetic properties of
polyatomic systems. More details can be found on at the following
website - http://mse.yonsei.ac.kr/mtg.
Applicants are expected to have a relevant tertiary degree in Physics,
Chemistry, or other related fields, with a good background in
solid-state physics and chemistry. A satisfactory proficiency in English
and a strong interest in computational material science are mandatory.
Candidates with previous research experience in ab initio electronic
structure calculations will be a strong plus. The application should
