[Wien] Wien on Mac

Hello Wien2k Experts,

Does anyone has experience in running the BINARY/COMPILED version of
Wien2k on a iMac machine? Is is possible/necessary to install a Linux
distribution on such machine in order to run Wien2k? (I was always using
RedHat/Fedora up to now).

I am not interested in ultra-fast optimized Wien2k installation. I am
interested to perform calculations which do not require large computing
power.
