What I do is to edit spaghetti_ps, You can put titles and move them...

For example, a Ni-2 band;

   0.00000 16.00000 M
/Times-Roman findfont 20.00000 scalefont setfont
(Ni-2) show
/Times-Roman findfont 20.00000 scalefont setfont
( atom 0) show
/Times-Roman findfont 20.00000 scalefont setfont
( ) show
/Times-Roman findfont 20.00000 scalefont setfont
( size 0.20) show

change to

   6.00000 15.50000 M
/Times-Roman findfont 20.00000 scalefont setfont
(Ni up) show

and you will have a title "Ni up" in the middle

then you change to pdf with "ps2pdf"

Hi,

I am also a new user of origin, but that is simple. You don't need to convert to .dat.
Just import the case spaghetti_ene as single ASCII file, then make your plot as you need.
With kind regards
