Dear Gerhard,
I tried to figure that out. I can see that volume V=2 x (a/2)^3. My
cell is FCC. But why this relation?
I look forward to your help once more.
Thank you,
Ritabrata
What cubic system are you talking about, simple, face centered or body
centered ?
Maybe this answers already youre question.

Betreff: [Wien] cell volume
Hello all users,
I am a newbie and have a simple question. Why is the unit cell volume
of a cubic cell (as seen in the scf file)not equal to a^3 (cube of
lattice length). What volume is derived in the scf file?
Thank you in advance
Ritabrata
