Vienna Computational Materials Laboratory
20 Positions Opening

Dear colleagues,

The Austrian FWF funded Spezialforschungsbereich (SFB) ViCoM located at the
University of Vienna and the Vienna University of Technology announces
openings for 20 positions on the doctoral student and the postdoctoral
level
in the areas of computational and solid state physics, chemistry,
mathematics and engineering with a special focus on:

o Application and development of ab initio electronic structure methods
o Strongly correlated electron systems
o Multi-scale simulations including magnetic materials and devices, alloy
   physics and soft matter physics

Kresse (speaker, cmp.univie.ac.at), Dellago, Hafner, Lischka, Mauser,
Podloucky, Verstraete, (www.univie.ac.at); Held (vice-speaker), Blaha,
Burgdoerfer, Kahl, Kozeschnik, Mohn, Redinger, Suess (www.tuwien.ac.at). A
few positions will be also available at the Technical University Graz and
the LMU Munich.

The Universities are committed to increase female employment; qualified

i)   CV including full academic record,
ii)  list of publications and talks including one or two reprints
      representative of previous research,
iii) two letters of recommendation,
iv)  expression of interest concerning research area(s) and group(s)
      (one page), and
v)   certificate/statement concerning the candidate's competence in English.
